ASUS ZenBook 14 (UX425)

11th Gen Intel processors keep coming to Samsung laptops and in September we already had a triple sample with the ZenBook S, ZenBook 14 Ultralight and ZenBook Pro 15 . And the one that they present to us now is a new ASUS ZenBook 14 (UX425), which is very reminiscent of its predecessors as it is also very thin.

And so fine, since according to the manufacturer it is the world’s thinnest 14-inch laptop with a full port interface and those Intel processors. The design is very reminiscent of the ZenBook 14 that we remembered, minimalist and with that characteristic hinge .

Thinness by flag without neglecting ergonomics

The chassis of the new ZenBook 14 is reminiscent of those we have seen previously, being compact and with a sober design. Constructed of metal and with a matte finish, the laptop weighs 1.13 kilograms (slightly more than the Ultrathin) and has a profile of 13.9 millimeters .

The screen bezels are quite thin and ASUS talks about a 90% use of the front , which would not be bad. When it is opened, the part of the screen is outside the box with the keyboard thanks to the ErgoLift hinge, aimed at typing in a more favorable position and also to facilitate ventilation.

The screen is a 14-inch LED, with FullHD resolution and according to ASUS it only consumes one watt (this is available as an option). It has a new keyboard that uses the surface quite well and an infrared camera that allows logging in using Windows Hello.

11th Gen Intel processors and up to 32GB RAM

For the engine, as we have mentioned before, the latest generation of Intel processors has been chosen . With an option to Core i3, i5 and i7, the graphics will come from the hand of the Intel Iris Xe or a UHD (the model with i3). RAM is up to 32GB and storage is handled by a PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD up to 1TB.

It also has Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) connectivity with WiFi Smart Connect and Bluetooth 5.0. And yes, although it boasts of thinness, it does not give up the most common ports, including HDMI ports, USB type A, Thunderbolt 4 USB-C and a micro-SD card reader .

It has a 67 Wh battery and USB-C Easy Charge support (so it can be charged with a wide range of standard chargers with this connection). The promise with this is 21 hours of autonomy per charge , which would allow in a way to forget about the plugs in a day of use.

In addition, it has ventilation profiles with which the user chooses if they prefer to work in silence (and the lower performance) or the opposite, and noise cancellation assisted by artificial intelligence . This is aimed at filtering ambient noise so that the audio quality in video conferences is better.

Versions and prices of the ASUS ZenBook 14 (UX425)

The ZenBook 14 is available from 1,099 euros on the ASUS website and soon in the usual stores. It will be available in two colors: Pine Gray and Lilac Fog.
